Chief Minister inaugurates Kripasalyan Secondary Model School building at Daramdin

Daramdin, West Sikkim: August, 30, 2010:  The Chief Minister Shri Pawan Chamling today visited Daramdin and inaugurated a model school building, first of its kind across the stat. The name of the school is Kripasalyan Rai Secondary School Daramdin.

Shri Pawan Chamling, addressing the student and local people said that the student needs to cooperate and work hand in making Sikkim a model State in the country in all spheres of human activities. Speaking about the total literacy mission that has been launched, Shri. Chamling said that the target of achieving the success in till 2015 and for support from educated class and the student is must. He urged for following the theory of each one teach one and then only the said mission initiated by the government would be successful.

Speaking about the recently launched Chief Minister’s Comprehensive Annual and Total Check-up for Healthy Sikkim (CATCH) program, the Chief Minister said that the girl child would be provided with iron tablet in meeting the deficiency and  another problem related to them and urged the student to go for the check up, so they become healthier and stronger. Under the said program every citizen from across the state would under go annual total health check up where they would be provided with endoscope and colonoscopy which are tests related to cancer hoping further, said  that if the same is conducted sincerely then there would be 60% reduction in the cancer diseases  which are reported in the state.
